Globally we face a daunting array of large scale problems. Many are driven by population growth and exacerbated by poor governance. There are unprecedented demands on scarce natural resources-land, water, minerals and energy. There are serious threats to food security, the environment and public health.
La Trobe University’s Chancellor Adrienne E Clarke AC FAA FTSE will present the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering’s second Dean’s Public Lecture entitled ‘Science and its role in solving global problems’.
The community is invited to engage with the leading thinkers about these current issues.
